Keyboard woes

I wonder if there will be a nice ergonomic keyboard in today's woot off.

My keyboard suddenly died. They tend to do that when you spill half a glass of water into them.

*sigh*

Luckily, I kept the keyboard that came with my computer. Unfortunately, it's a "normal" keyboard that my big hands and bitchy wrists are having trouble with. As a bonus, most of the "extra" keys surprisingly seem to work with my out-of-the-box Ubuntu Linux installation. On the downside, the calculator button is crammed in next to the left ctrl key, and I keep hitting it by accident.

So, in all, not dead in the water, but not very happy about it either.

Hey, I spilled a mimosa on mine a few years back...it still worked...except when I hit c, d, or e all three letters popped up...the orange juice pulp was connecting the letters...was kind of cool...but made it difficult for some of my passwords...:)

That's pretty awesome.

This shorted my space bar such that it acted as if it was being held down until another key was hit, then it wouldn't respond at all. Not much for working around that.

have been careful about drinking anything with pulp around the computer though...
