Midterm was last Thursday. We're going over it right now.

I got 100. Of course. *sigh*... I almost feel bad, because the next highest grade was an 84.

The prof dropped my outlier before curving, which is good, because at least I don't have to worry about getting my ass kicked. ;)

Despite that, over half the class failed.

Sometimes I forget that this isn't easy for everybody....

Programming II. Java.

I probably would have tried harder to get out of it if I had already known Java. The problem is that I picked up the majority of the language in the first couple of weeks. Granted, without the necessity of the class, I probably wouldn't have gotten through "Java In a Nutshell" as quickly, just because of procrastination.

So now I alternate between being bored, feeling like I'm wasting my time, and reminding myself that my primary purpose of this class was as a transition back to college class discipline. After this midterm, I think I've added "survivor's guilt" to the list...

Well, at least you know you can handle this level of classes. Just keep increasing the workload and ease yourself back into it.

That is actually very similar to the current plan. Though I'll probably keep it at one class per semester for the forseeable future, just because I've already got a pretty full place.

Residency requirement. Gotta take 30 hours of somethin' before they give me a degree... Though with all the changed requirements in the last few years, it'll be pretty close to 30 anyway, so I'm not complaining.

As I've said to others, yes, I probably could have finished sooner if I tried to finish at UF, but that would mean having to deal with UF, and it would probably take me another 3 years just to build up the nerve to do that.

Fair enough. By the time you've taken a few classes to get back into the swing of things, you'll be halfway there.
