Been in a fight with both. I would much rather be in a fight with a dog. Dogs have bigger teeth and cause more surface puncture wounds. Generally you only have to worry about the mouth. Cats have four claws and a mouth full of very pointy teeth. Dogs spit also has anti-bacterial qualities to it, cats don't. Try and over power a cat, you won't be able too. They can claw, bite, and wiggle their way out of everything. Standard-operating-procedure around my house is to towel them and bag them as quickly as possible. If you screw up the first time, you won't get them the second time and it might take hours to days to get them to the vet or in the kennel for whatever reason. Cats are also smarter, okay, except for Venus and Killian.
