Nothing can quite induce the special state of panic that you get when one spills a glass of liquid on one's computer desk.

Not that it's the worst state of panic (no, I think the sound that one's daughter's head makes when she swan dives off the couch into the coffee table (which now has a foam liner, 24 hours too late) takes that distinction), but it certainly is special.

Boy, after typing that parenthetical comment, the main point of this post seems awfully trivial, doesn't it? Though I suppose if I had been near the computer after making sure Anna didn't have a concussion, I'm sure I would have posted about it, too...

(For the record, Anna's fine, other than the rather large bruise in her eyebrow, and the computer equipment all managed to stay dry.)

Yes and no. If the table had 90 degree corners and it was unpadded, we would be in the emergency room getting stitches and hoping that as she got older, her eyebrow hairs would cover it up. Frankly, if it had 90 degree corners it wouldn't have happened in the first place. I would have baby proofed it long before she was allowed to play near it.
