Robertson suggests God smote Sharon
(CNN) -- Television evangelist Pat Robertson suggested Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine retribution for the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, which Robertson opposed.

Twenty years ago, when he was running for president, he stated that he believed that only Christians - and Jews, added as an afterthought - should be allowed to run for public office because they are the only ones guided by the god of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob.
He's been at this for decades.
