Robertson suggests God smote Sharon
(CNN) -- Television evangelist Pat Robertson suggested Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine retribution for the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, which Robertson opposed.

Lessons From History
Date: 2006-01-06 10:46 pm (UTC)Robertson still gets press because he is the extreme right. This country is increasingly further and further to the right and people like him have more weight than we want to admit. With extremest like him, compromise is forced further right than originally and hence why we are progressing further to the right. Don't worry about it, I'm raising the next generation that will rebel much like the sixties kids did. I do feel we are in another 1950s where everything is prescribed roles and structure. The Iraq war, WMDs, Islam reformation, and lack of patriotism is the same as the Red Scare.
